The concept is to choose your menu and pay at the end. There's a choice of rice (white or brown), and there's a wide selection of side dishes, including vegetables. The prices are reasonable. There might be a bit of a wait during meal times. Live music may be available if they have..
Pawon Jiwan is strategically located on an intersection, but car parking can be problematic during peak hours. They serve buffet style Javanese dishes, in traditional Javanese Joglo architecture. My favourites are the Spicy Smoked Stingray (Pari Asap) and Soto Koya (Chicken Soto Soup). I also ordered Es Kopi Laka Laka, which uses grass jelly to add texture to the milk coffee. Price was affordable and it's a good breakfast choice as you can try a lot of dishes. Toilet can be cleaner though.
My dinner was very tasteful here! Even though most of dishes were already finished. We still had the fried chicken and a couple of their side dishes. All of it tasted good I had the fried chicken, eggs, and tofu. Topped it off with the Ed Cendol. They had a few selections of rice, I chose the tastiest one, Nasi Jeruk. Yum! The server are very friendly and helpful, even to the guys cleaning up the table. The place itself is designed with a classic Javanese style but I think they can clean it up a little bit more. Will be coming here often
Tell us what you ordered and what it cost. Two or three sentences about one dish is more useful to the next person than a star rating.
